Tomco
Construction, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Washington
in April 1975. Melvin and Anna White purchased 100% of the
business in 1978. It has been operated since that time under
the consistent direction of Diana White, Melvin and Anna
White. In 2003, Diana purchased 51% of the company in planning
for the eventual retirement of Melvin and Anna.
Tomco Construction, Inc is 100% Native American owned and
currently is licensed in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
Tomco has obtained certification as an SDB/MBE and Hub-Zone
business. Tomco is also a Certified Indian Business with
numerous tribes throughout the area.
Tomco
specializes in providing quality construction services to
Federal, State, Tribal and Local Governments throughout
the Pacific Northwest. A summary of some of these projects
has been included for your use. The services provided include
but are not limited to: Site Excavation and Development,
Water and Sewer Lines, Roads, Single and Multiple Family
Housing, Convenience Stores/Gas Stations, Administrative
Office Buildings, Daycares, Health Clinics, Schools, Structure
Remodel, and Electrical. Tomco Construction also provides
construction management services.
Tomco
has a significant investment in construction equipment and
trucks. This list includes a 950 loader, 140G Grader, 4300-Gallon
Water Truck, D-4 & D-6 Cats, 322 Cat Trackhoe, Kobelco
120 Trackhoe, 54" Roller, three Dump Trucks & Pups,
and a 35-Ton Low Boy with Peterbuilt Tractor. In addition,
all types of power tools for carpenters and electrical hand
tools are available.
In
April of 2004, Tomco Construction Inc was approved for participation
in the Small Business Administration's 8(a) Program for
a period of nine years. This program is anticipated to greatly
enhance the opportunities for contracting with the Federal
Government.
Corporate
management for Tomco is as follows: Diana White, President;
Anna White, Vice President; and Melvin White, Secretary/Treasurer.
These individuals also comprise the Board of Directors holding
the same positions as within the corporation. These three
individuals also own 100% of the stock of the corporation.
Diana
White is in charge of all management decisions and also
acts as estimator and project manager when needed. She has
a strong financial background and uses this in the day-to-day
management of the corporation.
Melvin
White is a project manager and estimator for the business.
His responsibilities include jobsite supervision and management,
quality control on projects, and project estimations.
Tomco
Construction has steadily grown over the last twenty years
to an average annual sales volume of approximately $9 million
by providing a wide range of construction services, quality
workmanship and dependability. We take pride in insuring
completion of projects in a competent and timely manner.
In 1998, the National Indian Business Association selected
Tomco as the National Construction Firm of the Year. Other
letters of reference attesting to our professionalism on
the projects completed are included in this packet.
Tomco
currently has a bonding capacity of $3,000,000 single job
and $5,000,000 aggregate. We have not had any claims against
our bonds by third parties.
